We empower students to acquire self-efficacy, life skills, and proficiency on standards. We commit to a comprehensive assessment and support system focusing on the unique needs of each student.
Our Goals:
1. All students will improve their abilities to read and interpret expository text across the curriculum.
2. All students
will improve mathematics computation and application of mathematics concepts across the curriculum.
Lincoln County School District #2 opened the Swift Creek Learning Center in the fall of 2001, providing the youth in Star Valley an alternative education opportunity. Since its inception, the SCLC has grown and evolved into a fully accredited high school where students can earn a standard high school diploma. Our courses are designed to help students develop proficiency in the Wyoming Content and Performance Standards. In addition to our focus on academics, the SCLC is committed to teach life skills and promote self-efficacy. We believe that every student must leave our school with the essential skills to make responsible life decisions. Every student receives individualized instruction with the supports necessary to promote academic success. Field trips and motivational activities are provided to encourage hard work, academic learning, and fun! The Swift Creek Learning Center is a place where students can feel safe and comfortable as they strive to accomplish their life goals.
Sincerely,
Russell Gardner, Principal
