Consequence

3^rd absence during a block

Student is dropped from enrollment until the beginning of the next block.

·Students are considered absent when they enter class 15 minutes or more after the beginning of class.

·All assignments and assessments, including make-up work, must be completed and handed in by the last day of each block.

·Students who fail to attend an assigned Friday School or 4th hour will be marked absent.

Consequence

1^st tardy in one week

Mandatory attendance of 4^th hour on the day of the tardy.

2^nd tardy in one week

Mandatory attendance of 4^th hour until tardies are made up.

All make-up time for tardies must be completed by the end of the week or the student will be dropped until the beginning of the next block.

3^rd tardy in one week

Student is dropped from enrollment until the beginning of the next block.

·Each tardy requires a full hour of make-up time.

·Students who fail to attend an assigned 4^th period are marked absent.

·Students get a clean start at the beginning of each week.

·Students who are enrolled at SVHS and those who have a work schedule during 4^th hour must make up tardy time on Friday of the week of the infraction.

·A student with a class grade of 80% or above and with all common assessments 70% or above is excused from Friday school.

·Students who are behind in coursework are encouraged to voluntarily attend 4th period and/or Friday school to get additional help. Students who have incomplete assignments may, at the discretion of the teacher, be assigned 4th period, Friday school, or both until assignments are completed and mastery is demonstrated.
